Michelle Haddad

Michelle Haddad is an Oral Health graduate of the University of Adelaide 2006. She is qualified in the fields of Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. She is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Victoria (DHAAVB) & The Victorian Periodontal Society. She has held a Vice Presidency role for the DHAAVB and has thus contributed to the growth and support of dental hygiene professional development.

Working in private practice, Michelle has particular interest in preventative dental health for children and young adults. She continues to expand her skills by learning and implementing new techniques and advancements to provide care to all her patients. She is currently investigating further study on stainless steel crowns to preserve and treat the teeth of children with dental caries.

Joyce Harnick

Joyce Harnick is a registered Dental Hygienist, whose education includes, an Associate of Applied Science from the Community College of Philadelphia, USA, Bachelor of Science from Thomas Jefferson University, USA, and she also completed her premedical prerequisites from Temple University, USA. She is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia Victorian Branch (DHAAVB) and the Australian Society of Periodontics Victorian Branch (ASPVB).

Joyce’s professional private practice experience includes 29 years of clinical dental hygiene, in the speciality area of periodontics. Her experience also includes being a periodontal clinical demonstrator for undergraduate dental students at Temple University School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, USA and a clinical demonstrator for dental hygiene students in the Diploma in Oral Health Therapy Programme at Melbourne Dental School at The University of Melbourne.

Kanella Tsaconas

Kanella Tsaconas is a registered Dental Hygienist, who graduated from Adelaide’s Gilles Plains Dental Institute in 1988.  She is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia, Victoria Branch (DHAAVB) and the Australian Society of Periodontics, Victorian Branch (ASPVB).

Kanella has worked in both Sydney and Melbourne since graduating as a Dental Hygienist.  She cam to Paltoglou Dental Centre in 2003 and shares Dr George Paltoglou’s philosophies in managing patients dental health whilst keeping in mind their individual needs.  She has a particular interest in periodontics and prides herself in helping patients achieve optimal oral health.


To remain current in all aspects of new trends in modern dentistry, Michelle, Joyce and Kanella are required to continually undertake Professional Dental Education, as part of their commitment to dental excellence.
